Dedicated platforms create the enabling environment to discuss issues and strategies to accelerate and facilitate the integration of different regions towards wider economic development.

About ECAM 

The Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) was registered in 1963 under the Trustees Incorporation Act of Malawi as an employers’ trade association representing all subscribing employers. We have direct membership from 250 organizations, which includes 6 associations. The associations represent over 277,000 members. The primary role of ECAM is the promotoion, guidance and protection of employers' interests in labour, employment and socio-economic issues 

Membership

ECAM has evolved from being a sectoral organization to a diverse membership base ( in 1963 we were only representing the Tea industry).Currently, membership is open to all enterprises or undertakings, private or parastatal.All employers (enterprises or undertakings) are free to join ECAM the first step is to register.

Stakeholders Trained on Occupation

The Tea Association of Malawi-TAML has urged the tea estates to take Occupation Safety and Health (OSH) issues seriously since it is a key to prevent incidents that lead to compensation.
