NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM ECAM PRESIDENT ANNE CHAVULA

I extend my warmest wishes for a very happy and prosperous New Year to all our members and partners.

2022 was a year that Employers and the world as a whole had to deal with a series of challenges from the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to inflation, and the fuel crisis, while the world was still recovering from the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

2023 is set to be another exciting year for ECAM. Although the business environment is expected to remain unpredictable, we are hopeful and we look forward to working further on many initiatives to deliver and represent the best interests of Employers in Malawi on labour and employment. As we continue to give our members free advice, relevant information and networking platforms, we also offer tailor-made in-house training for employers at competitive prices.

In 2023 we welcome new partnerships and already existing partners, we are taking our efforts to another level to ensure labour laws compliance, elimination of child labour and other crucial issues that affect the world of work are addressed.

I want to thank our members and partners for your continued commitment and effort. We encourage members to utilize ECAM to fully enjoy the benefits that come from being members.

To the ECAM Secretariat, every one of us has an important role to play and I am confident that we will achieve great things together.

I wish you all a happy and successful 2023!
