Jobs for Youth (J4Y) Project
A project implemented by the Government of the Republic of Malawi through the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture with financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB). The project among others seeks to improve the employability of youth in Malawi through the facilitating internship placement for one year in both private and public institutions.
ECAMs has the following roles in the project:
1. Circulating the expression of interest call to targeted potential host organisations
2. Following with one on one visits and or group inception meetings
3. Match applicants (interns) with available host organisations
4. Formal engagement with interested host organisations. Memorundum of Understanding-MOU signing before placement interns with potential
5. Orientation of interns and mentors
6. Placement of interns in the host organsaitions
7. Periodic monitoring and reporting
ECAM has a target of 400 interns to be placed under the project
