TEVETA Extends Strategic Partnership with ECAM

The Technical, Entrepreneurial, and Vocational Education and Training (TEVETA is extending its strategic partnership with) Employers’ Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) building upon the trusted working relationship the two organizations have had over the past years to serve the best interests of employers’ in the country.

Speaking during the meeting held at ECAM Secretariat in February, ECAM Executive Director George Khaki says the good working relationship with TEVETA represents an enormous opportunity to advance all tevet issues to employers.

“there is knowledge gap among employers on tevet issues and that includes the TEVET Levy, TEVET policies among others, so our partnership will address all that and continued collaboration in Employers of the Year Awards on the capacity building for employers”

On their part TEVETA Executive Director Elwin Sichiola said: “ we make this courtesy call as we recognize the crucial role ECAM plays and the support TEVETA receives from its members ranging from Tevet Levy compliance, offer of apprenticeship and internship places for tevet students as well as presence and participation of employers in the committees and other partnerships”

ECAM and TEVETA look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will see more companies offering places for internship, more employers familiar with tevet  and more benefits for employers complying with tevet levy as well as technical support in capacity building activities for employers.
